Flor has more than 20 years of experience in Intellectual Property (IP) matters, particularly in the areas of trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, IP related agreements, data protection law, and designs.
Her practice focuses on national and international trademark prosecution, including the worldwide trademarks protection strategy, legal advice and contentious proceedings in other territories.
She has extensive experience advising clients on the selection, use, and protection of trademarks, which also extends to legal opinions, preparation and prosecution of domestic and foreign trademarks, portfolio management, and contractual matters such as licenses, transfer coexistence agreements, and collaboration agreements.
She also conducts intellectual property due diligence for M&A transactions and financing matters, and prepares assignments, security agreements and recordings.
Her experience encompasses a wide variety of industries, including computer technology and services, fashion and luxury goods, food and beverages, gaming, technology hardware and equipment and telecommunications, having represented companies such as Apple Inc., Grupo Modelo, Tequila Cuervo, Grupo PI MABE, Kidzania, Federal Mogul, Cooper Industries, Tory Burch, Aldi GMBH, Buckman Laboratories, Industrias Alen, Mercado Libre, Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, Shopify, Moshi-Moshi, Grupo Expansión.
WIPR Leaders ranks Flor in it Top Tier in Trademarks in Mexico (2016, 2017, 2018); WTR has recognized her as a rising star in the field (2016).
Flor is the organizer of the “Women’s IP Lunch” event that initiated in 2013 aiming to gather women-lawyers from Latin America every year to share experiences in the IP industry, and promote a networking generation “networking”. It started with 30 people and now totals more than 110 women.
